ABOUT ME
I am a multi-genre singer/songwriter and recording artist, trained as a classical, musical theatre and contemporary singer, and have performed in a variety of contexts, from small Jazz and Blues venues to outdoor music festivals and EDM night clubs as well as weddings and corporate events. I started singing lessons at a young age and went on to study music at the age of 16. I became a graduate of the famous BRIT School of Performing Arts, and with a Bachelors Degree in Contemporary Music, I have pursued my professional career as a live performer, recording artist, a vocal coach and a music teacher.
I'm originally from the North West of the UK, then after my studies in London I moved to Italy and am now living on the beautiful island of Mallorca. After years of experience working as a professional singer and vocal tutor in the beautiful town of Bologna in Italy, the busy capital City of London and in the heart of Manchester I am teaching in Palma de Mallorca and set up my music studio close to the centre.
TEACHING
I've been teaching for more than twelve years, as a private Vocal Coach and Singing Teacher in Music Academies across Europe. I have coached people of all ages and musical styles, from children through to professional artists and bands. I use a variety of methods tailored to the individual encouraging them play with all the colors of their voice and to enjoy the benefits of singing whilst developing technique and vocal confidence by learning how to understand their voice and find their personal style. My singing lessons and workshops help with a range of performance techniques, from preparing for live auditions and preparing to take vocal grade exams, through to studio sessions, songwriting and vocal harmony arrangements.
I am also a trained Music Teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Music and specialist instrumental teaching for Primary Music Curriculum Development, working with Special Educational Needs and directing choirs.
I provide on-line lessons via Zoom and in person classes in Palma de Mallorca where I am set up to record so students can listen back to progress and gain experience using the mic in a studio setting.
RECORDING ARTIST
My career as a session vocalist has taken me around the world for work with different record labels, including Sony Latin and Irma Records and for internationally acclaimed DJ's such as Techno Boy, Tune Boy, and DJ Stephanie and music producers Oscar Llord and Loris Ceroni.
I have worked on a number of projects in UK across a range of genres from Gospel to Electro-Dance as well as Bossanova with Jazz composer Sam-Q and Rock Opera with the multitalented author and composer Andy Curran.
I continue working remotely in Mallorca as a session singer for international producers across Europe and in the US. My most recent work with Sony was for Major & Melody singing classic and original children's songs.
SINGER/SONGWRITER
I've been singing and writing songs since I was a teenager. During my time in Italy I collaborated with some great musicians to form Tyro Project, a band that incorporated fusion of genres with who I co-wrote and recorded two albums, available to listen to here. I also composed and performed music for adverts and compilation albums distributed around the world produced by Irma Records in Italy with the Electro-Swing 'Just Bubbles'. Whilst in the UK I worked with producer Factor23 to from Art Fan Delay, a cinematic Electronic Act and we produced an album currently available on spotify.
LIVE
My live work includes collaborations with many great musicians, including Massimo Greco, trumpet player for the famous Italian artist Zucchero (Sugar) as well as writing and performing with funk-soul band Tyro Project - including supporting Grammy-nominated Tommy Emanuel - and as a backing vocalist for American R&B/Soul artists, Nick Rolfe, Toni Green & Sax Gordon.
Across the UK I have performed in many venues in London and around the North West with Electro-Soul act, Art Fan Delay and with cover bands in different formations from duo acts to eight-piece bands.
I am currently an active live performer in Mallorca with several bands and working alongside some of Mallorca's best internationals Musicians.
